AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is
specifically designed for manual transmissions and transaxles with
synchromesh systems that require light viscosity, non-extreme
pressure fortified oil. It is formulated with advanced additive technology
to provide proper friction characteristics for smooth shifting without
grinding or bump shifting, while providing the ultimate in gear and
bearing protection. MTF provides far better protection in these manual
transmissions than motor oils and outperforms AMSOIL Series 3000
Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil (HDD) in transmission
applications.

Superior Hot and Cold Temperature Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) outperforms
conventional oils and protects internal components at extreme
temperatures from -40°F to 300°F. It controls the thinning effects of
mechanical shear for stable viscosity and superior film strength,
providing better anti-wear performance than conventional oils.

Customized Additives
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) contains
friction modifiers for superior synchronizer compatibility and smooth
shifting. It is non-corrosive to yellow metals, and its outstanding
anti-wear properties protect gears and bearings under severe duty. MTF
is anti-foam fortified and contains oxidation inhibitors to resist high
temperatures, oxidation, acid buildup and varnish deposits.

Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is
recommended for automotive and light truck applications that require
synchromesh transmission fluid. Applications include manual
transmissions and transaxles such as New Venture NV T350, NV 1500,
NV 3500, NV 3550, NV 5600 and Tremec T-4, T-5, T-18, T-176, T-500
and T-600. Replaces Honda Genuine MTF Fluid for manual transaxles.
MTF is an SAE 5W-30, however, it is not for use in engines or wet
clutches.

AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) replaces GM
part # 12345349, 12345577, 12377916 and 1052931 as well as
Chrysler part # 4874464 and 4874465. It meets GM specifications
9985648, 9986105 and 9985535 and Chrysler MS-9224 and MS-9417.

AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube
(MTG) is designed to meet the special requirements of certain manual
transmissions and transaxles, such as the New Venture NV4500. It is
designed to replace AMSOIL 80W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube (AGT) and
provide improved internal component protection. These transmissions
are cast iron and have exhaust pipes close to them, causing them to
run hot. Increased operating temperatures can harden seals and
cause oil leaks. In addition to lubricating gears, bearings and
synchromesh systems, transmission oil must keep seals soft even
when temperatures increase. The premium synthetic formulation of
AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube is
designed to specifically address the needs of these hot running
transmissions.

MTG is formulated with extreme pressure (EP) additives and advanced
synchromesh qualities that provide smooth shifts while protecting
gears, bearings and seals. It is not corrosive to yellow metals, such as
copper, that are used in some synchromesh systems. MTG provides
the maximum transmission and transaxle internal component
protection.

Applications
MTG is recommended for synchronized manual transmissions and
transaxles that require 75W-85, 75W-90 or 80W-90 API GL-4 gear lube.
Recommended for use in NV 4500 transmissions and replaces GM
part # 12346190 and Chrysler part # 4874459 (Chrysler specification
MS-9070). MTG meets GL-4 performance specifications required by
some models of Acura, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus,
Mazda, Mitsubishi-Fuso and Zetor. Ideal for muscle car transmissions,
including Muncie, Borg Warner, Saginaw, Ford Toploader, Dearborn
and New Process.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are shear-stable, long-life lubricants based on high-quality synthetic oil technology. These
oils are formulated with a premium additive system that inhibits oxidation (preventing acid and viscosity increase), inhibits rust, and inhibits
foam (preventing spongy hydraulics). AMSOIL AW Oils also contain a very effective zinc-based antiwear/antioxidant additive which prevents wear
in high-speed, high-pressure vane and gear pumps while meeting the lubrication requirements of axial piston pumps having bronze-on-steel
metallurgy. AMSOIL AW Oils are designed for long life and typically reduce maintenance costs by extending drain intervals and reducing labor
associated with repairs, downtime, and change outs.

AMSOIL Synthetic Base Oil Technology
AMSOIL's synthetic base oils resist thermal and oxidative breakdown, preventing carbon or varnish deposits. The very high viscosity indices, low
pour points, and lack of paraffins (wax) make these good all season lubricants well suited for temperature extremes. At high temperatures and
pressures, these oils will provide a good lubricating film and protect components against wear. During cold temperature operation, equipment
will start easier and the need for preheating with sump heaters is reduced. The AW Series base oils also readily separate from water. This
prevents unwanted oil/water emulsions that inhibit an oil's ability to lubricate, allows for longer lubricant life, and means water can easily be
drained from the sump.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
The correct viscosity grades of AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are recommended for high- and low-pressure gear, vane
and piston stationary and mobile hydraulic systems. They meet the performance requirements of all major hydraulic manufacturers and are
excellent for general purpose use where extended drain intervals are desired and in severe duty operations where temperature extremes are
encountered. Even though recommended for all-season use, AWF and AWG are the preferred choice for temperatures less than -20° F because
these oils are light-bodied and have very good cold-temperature properties.

Some applications include machine tools and presses, mobile construction equipment, farming equipment, logging trucks, boom trucks and
plastic injection molding machines. The appropriate viscosity grades of AW Oils are also suitable for use in pneumatic tools, speed reducers,
spindles and R & O gear applications.

The ability of the AW Series to extend drain intervals is subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis is
recommended.

AMSOIL AW Series Oils are compatible with hydraulic system seals, petroleum hydraulic oils, and most synthetic hydraulic oils*. For optimum
performance, it is recommended that the system be thoroughly drained and, if warranted, cleaned prior to installation.

* Not compatible with phosphate ester or silicone fluids.
